5 Healthy & Easy Snack Ideas

Hey, guys! I’m coming at you this time with some of my favorite, healthy, easy-to-make snacks. I’m alllll about eating healthy because of how it makes me feel mentally and how it makes me look physically. I think a lot of people wish and want to eat healthier but either don’t know how to or think it’s too much work. This post should help address both of those issues! In these 5 healthy and easy snack recipes I use ingredients that are pretty common to have in your fridge or in your pantry. If you currently don’t have all of these ingredients then you should totally start incorporating them into your list of staples because they’re so versatile, healthy, and yummy!

Crispy Turkey-wrapped asparagus sticks

Ingredients:

1 bunch asparagus (works best with thicker stalks)

1 pack nitrate-free deli meat (either chicken or turkey)

Avocado or olive oil (spray or bottled)

Wax paper

Sea salt & pepper to taste

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and line a cookie sheet or baking tray with wax paper and spray with oil.

2. Wash asparagus and trim the ends.

3. Take one stalk of asparagus and wrap with one piece of the lunch meat. Place with the seam down on the wax paper-lined tray. Repeat for all of the stalks.

4. Spray or drizzle oil lightly over all of the stalks.

5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Pop in the oven and bake for 10-13 mins depending on desired crispiness. Can be eaten hot or cold.

English Muffin Bagel-Style

Ingredients:

Thomas or Ezekiel english muffin

1 wedge Laughing Cow Light cheese

Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel Seasoning

Directions:

1. Split the english muffin in half and toast to desired crunchiness.

2. Spread desired amount of Laughing Cow cheese on both halves.

3. Sprinkle with seasoning and enjoy!

Guilt-Free Gluten-Free Cookie Bites

Ingredients:

1 slightly overripe banana (easy to mash)

2/3 cup rolled or quick oats

Dash of vanilla extract

Ground cinnamon to taste

Dark chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. While oven is preheating, mash banana in a mixing bowl with a fork.

3. Stir in the oats.

4. Add a dash of vanilla extract.

5. Cover the batter with cinnamon powder and stir.

6. Spray a cookie sheet with avocado or olive oil and spoon bite size portions of the batter onto the sheet. You can make these however big or small you want.

7. Top each cookie with one to two dark chocolate chips and bake for 10-12 minutes or until tips of oats are slightly brown.

Clean Lunchables

Ingredients:

Mary’s Gone Crackers (the herb one is my favorite)

Laughing Cow Light Cheese

Chicken or Turkey Deli Meat

Directions:

1. Spread desired amount of cheese onto one cracker

2. Top with 1/4 slice of deli meat. Enjoy!

Greek yogurt Vitality Bowl

Ingredients:

1/2 - 3/4 cup Fage 0% Milkfat Plain Greek Yogurt

Fruit of choice (I like to use berries)

1/4 cup Love Crunch Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter granola

Dash of organic chia seeds

Directions:

1. Chop up fruit of choice.

2. Add the yogurt to a bowl and top with fruit and granola.

3. Sprinkle chia seeds on top and stir together.
